The recession is having little effect on one particular North County student. An ambitious Portmarnock resident has launched an innovative website to earn some much needed cash for his final year in college. Conor Coghlan created www.ipadireland.net to coincide with the much anticipated release of the Apple iPad in Ireland on July 23rd. The site is an online store, where browsers can purchase high quality iPad accessories and keep up to date on all iPad related news via blog and video. The idea for the website was a simple one. “I’m a big fan of the Apple brand but when I began researching  the accessories surrounding their products, I found many of them were cheap and poorly designed,” said the final year architecture student in DIT.

“So the idea behind iPad Ireland is to offer the consumer a limited number of high quality products that will enhance the iPad experience, not take away from it.” he said. The business will be run entirely from Conor’s home and can provide free shipping to anywhere within the Republic of Ireland. Getting the website up and running in time for the 23rd of July launch date has been a real challenge. “The last few weeks have been very hectic but I’m glad to say we are finally open for business. I hope the website will be a one stop shop for iPad owners looking for top quality acccessories and the latest iPad news.” As for the future, Conor hopes to keep the website fresh by regularly updating the catologue with new products. “Over the coming weeks, I hope to get in the latest top quality iPad gadgets and accessories so watch this space,” he said.
