Monday, 08 March 2010 15:58 St. Maur’s Parish, Rush, is holding a Parish Mission from 20th to 27th March. This will be a time of retreat for the parish. It is a time of prayer and renewal. The Parish Mission is being led by a Redemptorist Mission Team. Its members are Fr. Ciaran O’Callaghan, Fr. Tony Rice and Ms. Fáinche Ryan. The Mission week is for everyone; regular Mass-goers, those who have ceased to come to church, those who have been hurt by the Church. All are welcome. Mission Week will open on Saturday, 20th March with a Vigil Mass at 7.30pm. Masses on Sunday will be at 9.00am and 12 noon. There will be Blessing of babies and young children at 3pm, followed by the Evening Mission at 8.00pm. The Evening Mission on Friday at 8pm will be dedicated to Remembering Our Dead. The Mission will include Morning Masses at 6.30am and 9.00am each morning. There will be an Evening Mission at 8.00pm. each evening. On Saturday, 27th March, Mass with Anointing of Sick will take place at 11am., while at 4pm. there will be a talk & video presentation. The Mission will close after the Vigil Mass at 7.30pm. During the Mission Week, the team will visit the Primary Schools in the parish, including Rush N.S., St. Catherine’s N.S., St. Brendan’s N.S., Gaelscoil Ros-Eo and St. Joseph’s Secondary School. They will also visit Rush Nursing Home, St. Joseph’s Convent and visit some sick and housebound parishioners. There will be a special evening for teenagers and young adults on Wednesday 24th March at 9pm., led by the Clonard Youth Ministry from Belfast. |
