Third Level College To Come To Balbriggan

O’Leary has welcomed the County Council’s plans for a third level college in Balbriggan in the new development plan issued last Friday. “Balbriggan is a strategic growth town and will need a 3rd level educational facility to service the projected employment opportunities that may become available in the near future”, said Cllr. O’Leary. The location of the proposed college is on the existing Wavin site and Retail Park on the Dublin side of Balbriggan, not far from the local church. However, it is a provision that this will only happen if Wavin decide to relocate to another site according to the Councillor. “Balbriggan is poised to benefit from any uplift when the recession bottoms out and a 3rd level college would drive employment in the area” added Cllr. O’Leary. |
