North County Woman Elected to National Body

North County woman Ann, Brophy was elected to the Executive of the Irish National Community and Voluntary Forum (INCVF) recently. The INCVF is the representative body of the 34 City and County Fora around the country, and represents in the region of 22,000 community and voluntary organisations.  

Balbriggan Bank Branch To Close

Last December, National Irish Bank announced plans to restructure the organisation. The key changes are that 25 of the Bank’s 58 branches will be closed and merged into neighbouring branches and staff numbers will fall by 150 through a voluntary severance scheme. Archaeologists Recruited In Balbriggan

Archaeological work has commenced on the Stephenstown Industrial Lands Project with the County Council. This project involves archaeological excavation ahead of industrial development and involved the recruitment of 17 additional archaeologists, consisting of 15 site assistants and two supervisors.
