Each year the parents committee at Rush National school hold an Easter bake sale fundraiser and this year was another not to disappoint.
Speaking to the County Leader, Rachel Long from Rush National school said, ‘the children were asked to contribute home-baked goods with an Easter theme, which were then judged by local volunteer judges Sharon Hayden Hayden from Skinny Batch Deli Rush Main street, Gareth Skelton, executive head chef in Roganstown hotel and golf club and Anne Marie Dunne , D.I.T culinary arts lecturer.’
She continued, ‘there were lots of prizes for the children and their creations such as vouchers, Easter eggs and family days out. Everyone who entered gets a raffle ticket and we had a massive 25 raffle prizes.’
She condluded, ‘over 60 rosettes presented and €2010.00 raised for the school with a portion donated to Daffodil Day.’
