Fingal Festival of Fire returned to Swords Castle and Town Park on Halloween night, Tuesday 31st October and was a huge success again this year.
Upward of 10,000 people attended the event and there were strange and wonderful costumes on display among the enthusiastic crowd celebrating Halloween at this free event. The celebrations began with musical act “The Great Escape” who rocked the crowd from 5.30.
This was followed by County Mayor Cllr Mary McCamley giving the countdown to main event when the night sky was lit up above the castle by a spectacular fireworks display from 7pm. Such was the size of the crowd that many enjoyed the spectacle from Swords Main Street as well as the Town Park and Mayor McCamley was happy to pose for photographs with spookily attired children, and adults in attendance.
