Fingal’s Student Enterprise Programme was launched on Tuesday, 27th September last at Simtech Aviation, a sponsor of the Fingal Student Enterprise Programme at their company headquarters at Dublin Airport Logistics Park. Last year, a record 2600 scholars from 32 primary and secondary schools stepped up to compete in Fingal’s Student Enterprise Programme.
The area’s youngest entrepreneurs are ready to rock. These innovative locals are eager participants in the National Student Enterprise Programme. The savvy students will develop their own actual businesses, researching, resourcing, trading services and products, with the guidance of business mentors. Students from Colaiste Choilm, Swords were amongst those at the launch. Simtech Aviation are expert in training pilots and hopefully the students’ new business ventures will take full flight as a result!
Now in its sixteenth year, the competition sees over 17,000 students compete on the national stage. There are 31 Local Enterprise Offices nationwide and Fingal Local Enterprise Office co-ordinates and presents the largest number of participants every year, for a place in the County Finals in March 2017. Category winners will
then advance to the National Final, in April 2017.
The secondary schools programme is sponsored, for the eighth consecutive year, by the Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board.
