Swords Continues To Shine In IBAL League

The much anticipated IBAL Anti-Litter League were published yesterday (Monday) and it has been reported that the news for the North County is mixed. The good news is that Swords has retained its lofty position in the ‘Cleaner Than European Norms’ sector, where it finished in 16th place nationwide. The cleanest town in Ireland is Killarney Co Kerry.
However, the only ‘fly in the ointment’ for the North County is the result for Dublin Airport environs, which continues to be disappointing, where it was classed as ‘Moderately Littered,”
Great credit is due to the County Council and to the local Tidy Towns group, who have worked closely together to ensure that Swords remains one of the cleanest towns in the country. Many locals and visitors have remarked about the colourful floral displays on both sides of Main Street, which have transformed the town. With Swords destined to become an important tourist hub, It is particularly heartening to see that businesses and residents alike have learned valuable lessons from previous IBAL results and have managed to take suggestions on board, thus ensuring that Swords retains its position in the top sector.
