A two year term agreement has been signed with the County Council and Greenstar to operate the Council‘s Civic Recycling Centres in Estuary (Swords) and Coolmine.
The two recycling centres are the largest civic amenity sites in the North County with over 180,000 visitors each year. The Centres provide households in the North County area with opportunities to recycle and recover their waste. The sites accept a diverse variety of material from households ranging from household recyclables to hazardous waste and specialist materials, such as gypsum. Paul Reid, Chief Executive of the County Council said: ‘‘We congratulate Greenstar on winning this contract following a public procurement process. Their Material Recovery Facility in Millenium Park in Ballycoolin is ideally located to service our two recycling centres in Blanchardstown and Swords and we look forward to working with them.” Greenstar is providing a range of specialist equipment, bins and signage designed for the specific requirements of the two Recycling Centres.
