Aoibhe Devlin from Balrothery is doing her bit for charity on May 8th when he hosts a fashion show in the Bracken Court at 8pm in aid of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Having done a parachute jump last year to raise money for the Irish Guide Dogs, Aoibhe felt that she could raise more money for the organisation.
“I thought a fashion show would be good. I’m really into fashion and I got picked as one of 10 finalists in the debs exposé in the RDS last month,” she said.
Aoibhe told the County Leader that her personal association with the Irish Guide Dogs came from her grandfather who was good friends with local man Tom O’Neill who uses a guide dog. “My granddad who passed away a few years ago was good friends with Tom. I used to go on walks with granddad and Tom’s dog. When I was told about the fashion show fundraiser, he was delighted that I was doing it for my granddad,” she said.
The fashion show will have 12 local girls modelling and North County businesses including Fashion Hall in Balbriggan, Vera Moda in the Pavilions and Balbriggan Bridal are helping with the sponsoring of the event. Tickets will be available in participating shops or at the door on the night of the event for E10.
